The book is about a boy, Quentin, who is in love with Margo. They have known each other, since they were children, because they live on the same road. Because of the passing of the year, they drift apart, also even if Quentin is in love with her. One day, when they were younger, they find a dead body in a park, but that was only the beginning of the story.

Margo is one of the popular in the school, and almost never talks to Quentin. One night Margo comes to Quentin´s window in the middle of the night, and asks about, he will drive her to a place. The night was lovely, and both were doing funny things. Margo and Quentin finally find the old good friendship between them. After the wonderful night, is Margo gone next day. Margo has always been suspicious or strange on something. Quentin, Margo´s family and all her friend were very worried about her, and the police try to find her, but no one can find her. Quentin gives not up, and tries to find clue in Margo´s bedroom, because he thinks, that she is leaving him clues to her whereabouts. After some days looking in her bedroom, he finally finds a clue hide in her books, from the writer Walt. Quentin will find her, so him, and some friends, try to find her. They drive in many hours’ around U.S.A, to discover Margo or Quentin´s love.
