After you is a book about how Louisa Clark went through a tragedy, when her true love, Will, decided to take his own life as it all became too much. It’s been a year, and Louisa likes to think of herself as a completely normal woman living in London, but it’s clear she hasn’t moved on. One night after a long day of work Louisa goes through another tragedy, when she falls off her apartment balcony. She gets rushed to the hospital in an ambulance where she meets Sam, who helps her get through the pain. The doctors say that she is lucky to be alive. After her recovery, she decides to join a support group to get over Will’s death. She gets some new friends there as well. She meets Sam once again and it’s clear there is a connection. 

Just when Louisa thinks her life is getting back to normal, it all changes. After yet another long day, there was a knock at the door. She opens and sees a sixteen-year-old girl with blonde hair. She describes herself as being Will’s daughter. Many complications arise with understanding the situation and trying to get Wills family to accept her.

The book is about Piscine Molitor Patel. His nickname is Pi, Because every time he had a new teacher he took a piece of chalk went to the blackboard and wrote pi= 3,14 for good measure he drew a large circle and sliced it in two to evoke the basic lesson of geometry.

Pi´s father owns a zoo and Pi loves the animals and his father is very proud of the zoo which is located in south India in a city called Pondicherry. One time the gate to the tiger was open and Pi´s father accused his brother Ravi for not closing the gate. The father wanted to give them a lesson for life and took a goat and put it in to the tigers. The tiger killed the goat and then explained “if you enter a territory of a wild animal they will do everything to defend it”. It is about the distance between you and the animal that matters.

One day Pi´s father decided to sell the animals and the zoo and sail to Canada. They left madras on june 21^st , 1977. The ship was named Tsimtsum and her officers were Japanese and the crew were Taiwanese. The ship was large and impressive.

One night Pi heard a little explosion while he was sleeping. Pi went up to the deck and saw that the ship was sinking. Then he tried to run back down to the cabin, the water was over the cabins were his family were.

The ship sank and some of the crew members put Pi in a lifeboat. Pi now were in a lifeboat with a zebra, hyena, and Richard parker (the tiger). Pi pushed himself up against the end of the lifeboat. After a day Pi started to lose hope of someone rescuing him.

 

several days passed by and Pi´s only goal now was to survive.

Summary of “The Mind Readers”

The book is about a girl named Cameron Winters. She is kind of a freak. Cameron have a secret, only her family know, and it is that she can read minds. Since she was very young, her parents told her that she must not tell anyone about her special power. Because of that, she have to live behind a façade of normalcy.  

After a murder on a student, and a mysterious boy named Lewis arrived to the city. Cameron finds out that there is other mind readers like her, and someone called S.P.I. is hunting them.

Lewis took her to an island with other mind readers. A man named Aaron train and help mind readers. Soon Cameron notice that something is a little bit weird and secretive and decides to try to escape from the island. After two unsuccessful attempts, she talk to Lewis. He said if she want to get back, she have to let Aaron erase her mind.

Aaron erased her mind, and after the erasing, she lay in coma, in a couple of weeks. Aaron sent Cameron back to her grandmother and together they moved. Her grandmother started teaching her how to use her power.

Some month’s later people from the S.P.I came to Cameron and asked her to come with them.

Kapitel 17

Kapitel 17 handler om at Johanne og Per snakker med hr. Niels om at de stadig vil rejse til Visselø, og ikke kommer hjem til Eline og hr. Niels bryllup. Johanne kan ikke tilgive Eline, selvom alle ved, at Eline har brug for hende.

De snakker alle sammen med præsten omkring hr. Axels død i flammerne. De snakkede om at han helt sikkert ville komme i himmelen, fordi han handlede som en rigtig kristen.

Eline er også stadig meget syg, og alle er meget kede af det på hendes vegne.

Johanne snakker med Per. Hun er ked af hr. Axels død. De snakker om ravnen, Johanne siger at den ikke bare lige vil forsvinde, og at den burde hedde Kærlighed.
